His song is with me!

An off the record lab draw.
A trip to the ER.
Hemoglobin = 4
12 units of blood
2 scopes
A night on the ventilator

Diagnosis: signet cell adenocarcinoma of the EG junction
No evidence of metastasis!

Facing port placement, feeding tube, radiation, chemo therapy and surgery.

I have peace.

"The Lord will command His loving kindness in the daytime,
And at night His song shall be with me -
A prayer to the God of my life." Psalms 42:8

Thank you for your prayers!
You are loved!

I am praying for you. This disease requires one day at a time so I will continue to pray for you. God will use you. So far word is traveling around the hospital about a patient with cancer who "glows" and who has "something real". I guess those aren't HIPPA identifiers, but I know who they are talking about.

Dearest Caitlin, I heard about this on Tuesday from Karissa and called Christy for the whole story. You have been in my prayers ever since. Steven and I have been praying for you to have peace; I know that God will do through you more than we could have asked had we known what to ask. We love you very much!

I'm enjoying the added "home-y" feel to my room with the added pillow - I think of you and pray for you every time I look at it. Sometimes words seem silly, and I guess that those are the expressive songs without words with notes so deep they can often only be felt. You are loved, too!

Hi Caitlin, hope you are doing well. I know a lot has happened since I came by last week, but I am praying for your daily strength. I like the comment you made about God sustaining you. That is truly something we all need to remember. It was a blessing for me to get to meet you. May the Lord of Peace himself give you peace always in every way. 2 Thess 3:16 Blessings to you, my sister

We don't want to burden you with extra visitors, but just know our thoughts and prayers are with you. God is at work, and He is still a miracle worker. When we surrender everything to Him, He always gives us either the desires of our hearts, or something better.

Hugs to you!

Uncle Bill here Caitlin: You're being prayed for by all of those who Follow Christ on my e-mail list. Our home group fellowship and the Veterans Group I'm a part of at Big Valley Grace Community Church. I read the ICU essay you wrote 3 years ago. Your Trusting-Faith in GOD has inspired many. Like one of your friends noted, This is a day-to-day fight. Stay in the Ring. :>) Those Mercies from GOD are renewed every morning Lamentations 3:23. Hugs from your Great-Aunt and Uncle.
