Shenandoah Nostalgia

Remembering... "two roads diverged in a yellow wood"

View from the Blue Ridge Mountains after hiking up from the Gap.

Supper from the Orchard

I took the Road less traveled by....

And that has made all the difference.

*tear* i miss it so much. ..and the poem :) i'm so glad you go to spend some time there.

"Will we climb the hills once more?
Will we walk the woods together? ... They wonder if you and I will be keeping
The magic and music, or leave them behind." -ashokan farewell

Hmmm those were good times. Someday we'll have to all get together lay around in the floor and play Apple's to Apple's, Pipers, and race through the woods once again. Until then my fond memories will have to suffice...

Oh, I love you guys!

My feet felt at home as I walked all the familiar places, every dip, rock, and view. The mountains and valleys still hold the same musical stillness, and restored my soul in a bittersweet way.

The orchard is grown wild now...
but the sunsets are the same.

So I cannot share the joy of Shenandoah places but I can and have shared great times with you folks...and miss you both. I want an orchard supper too--and to look over my feet and see trees below and mountains beyond :)
