My New Brazilian Blog - Check it out!

My posts for the next six months will be found on brazilianwisteria.blogspot.com

Prayers are much appreciated.

This morning God showed me this:

"You need not go to the ends of the earth for wisdom, for God is near. It is not the capabilities you now possess, or ever will have, that will give you success. It is that which the Lord can do for you..."

From a Tattered Ragamuffin Bible to a Masterpiece

I looked for pictures of my bible pre-metamorphosis to demonstrate the drastic contrast, but I couldn't find any. But for those who didn't see it, it was held together with a generous amount of duct tape.

And now...

This is what heaven looks like!

"In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations." Revelation 22:2

After many long hours of highly technical and skilled creativity, my dear roommate produced this masterpiece and had my precious bible rebound with this as it's cover.
"You will meet people who can't read, or who speak a different language. . . and when you do you can show them what heaven looks like." - Jen

Vital Item Survey

Upon being daunted by the overwhelming task of packing for 6 months I have conducted a survey to decrease the probability of forgetting a vital item for survival.

Each participant was asked the following two questions;

1. What one item would you take with you that could save someones life?

2. What is the one item that you could not live without?

Here are the results:

Daddy - "A Bible"
"A Bible."

Mommy - "I would start to panic if I had to save someones life."
"Music and my sewing machine"

Nathan - "My hands... my brain"

Shaila - "For you, your violin"
"deoderant, body spray - when you smell nice you have a better day"

Jen - "My multi-tool"
"My car"

Jon V. - "A pocket knife"
"um... ? chapstick... water bottle?"

Christy Joy - "Do you mean their spiritual life, or their physical life?" ... "A Bible, and a knife."
"My clothes."

I'm curious to know if any other readers have handy tips / ideas!
