This is a chocolate persimmon, also known as a black persimmon You could spread it on bread, because it tastes like a rich pudding.
This one was grown in my uncles' backyard.
It was delicious... but then not everyone takes a liking to such exoticness... you'll have to try it should you ever get the chance!

I think just the name chocolate persimmon gives reason enough for it to be tried :)
:)they are hard to come by... but I'll let you know if I encounter one again.
